Client Introduction

SiderzFlix is a modern on-demand movie and TV series streaming platform offering thousands of titles, free previews, premium subscriptions, high-quality playback, and a clean Netflix-style interface.

The platform already had strong web and mobile support, but the client wanted to make payments faster for iOS users and bring the full experience to living-room TVs.

Key Challenges

• No Apple Pay support → iPhone and iPad users faced extra steps during checkout, leading to higher cart abandonment.
• No native apps for Apple TV or Google TV → viewers couldn’t enjoy comfortable big-screen streaming with remote-friendly navigation.
• Existing multi-device support was good, but lacked the seamless TV experience that modern users expect.

• Add Apple Pay for one-tap, secure subscriptions and rentals on iOS devices.
• Launch native, optimized apps for Apple TV (tvOS) and Google TV (Android TV).
• Keep full synchronization with the main PlayLab backend (user accounts, watch history, subscriptions, content library).

Execution & Deployment

We worked in short sprints with regular client testing and feedback.

1. Apple Pay Integration Connected Apple Pay directly through Stripe (with full Apple Merchant ID setup). Users now pay with one tap using Face ID / Touch ID on iPhone, iPad, and Safari. Instant confirmation, full PCI-DSS compliance, and support for subscriptions + one-time rentals.

2. Apple TV App Developed a native tvOS app using SwiftUI.
   • Siri Remote optimized navigation (focus engine, big buttons, voice search).
   • Full playback controls, recommendations row, watchlist, profiles, and AirPlay support.
   • Same login and content sync as mobile/web.

3. Google TV App Built a native Android TV app using Jetpack Compose for TV + Leanback.
   • D-pad & remote-friendly UI, Google Assistant integration.
   • Beautiful home screen with trending rows, easy browsing, and seamless video playback.
   • Published directly on Google Play Store for easy discovery.

All three platforms (web, mobile, TV) now share the same backend, user data, and content library.
