FenkerePay is a complete digital mobile financial payment system that lets users receive funds, send money instantly, pay bills, recharge mobiles, cash out via agents, make merchant payments, transfer via QR code, and even donate — all with bank-grade security from their smartphones.

Problem Identification

The base ViserPay & ViserBank platforms were powerful, but FenkerePay needed extra monetization and growth tools:

• No way to offer different account number prefixes with varying signup fees (e.g., premium prefixes like VB3011xxx… costing more).
• No automated account maintenance fee to cover operational costs.
• No built-in referral system to incentivize users to bring in new customers.

Without these, revenue per user was lower and organic growth was slow.

Goal Definition

• Add a dropdown during signup to let users choose a sub-prefix, with the signup fee changing automatically.
• Introduce a configurable User Account Maintenance Fee (monthly/annual), deducted automatically.
• Launch a complete Referral Module with unique links, commissions, tracking, and earnings withdrawal.

How We Implemented That

We followed agile sprints with frequent client testing on a staging environment.

1. Account Sub Prefix Dropdown with Signup Fee During registration, users see a clean dropdown of available prefixes (e.g., VB3011, VB3022, etc.). Each prefix has its own signup fee — the total fee updates live on the form. Account number is generated instantly (e.g., VB3011xxxxxxxx) after payment.

2. User Account Maintenance Fee: Admins set the fee amount and frequency (monthly/annual) in the backend. System auto-deducts from wallet balance on due date, sends advance notifications, and suspends inactive accounts after grace period.
3. Referral Module: Every user gets a unique referral link/code. Earn commission on referred users’ signup fees, deposits, or transactions (configurable rates). Beautiful referral dashboard showing earnings, referred users, total commissions, and instant withdrawal to the wallet.

All changes were deployed with zero downtime, full audit logs, and a mobile-first responsive design.
